Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies including quantum computing, AI ethics frameworks, and decentralized systems
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype solutions addressing 2026 industry disruptors
- Analyze global tech trends, patent landscapes, and geopolitical shifts to inform R&D priorities
- Design and execute scenario-planning exercises for climate-resilient infrastructure and biotech convergence
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite executives and board members using data visualization
- Mentor junior futurists and establish thought leadership through whitepapers and conference keynotes
- Partner with venture capital teams to identify and evaluate next-gen investment opportunities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futuristics, Systems Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging tech R&D
- Proven track record of developing long-term technology roadmaps with measurable outcomes
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, climate tech, or synthetic biology
- Proficiency in futures research methodologies (horizon scanning, Delphi techniques, causal layered analysis)
- Exceptional data synthesis skills with visualization tools (Tableau, D3.js) and predictive modeling
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications
- Experience advising Fortune 500 companies on technology adoption strategies
