Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps integrating quantum computing, AI, and space exploration advancements
- Lead scenario planning for disruptive market shifts in energy, healthcare, and transportation
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype next-gen solutions in our Innovation Labs
- Advise executive leadership on emerging risks and opportunities in frontier technologies
- Represent Horizon at global futurist forums and policy summits
- Mentor cross-functional teams on future-proofing strategies
- Produce annual 'State of 2026' trend reports for industry stakeholders
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 7 years in strategic foresight or emerging tech strategy roles
- Proven experience with scenario planning frameworks (e.g., Shell, Delphi)
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or neurotech
- Published thought leadership in futurist or technology publications
- Fluency in AI ethics frameworks and regulatory landscapes
- Exceptional data visualization and storytelling capabilities
- Global network of futurist and innovation ecosystem contacts
