Responsibilities
- Anticipate and analyze global megatrends (AI, quantum computing, climate tech) through 2026+ horizon scanning
- Develop scenario-based strategic frameworks for product development and market positioning
- Partner with R&D to prototype future-facing solutions aligned with long-term vision
- Present strategic foresight insights to executive leadership and board stakeholders
- Lead cross-functional workshops to embed future-thinking into organizational DNA
- Monitor emerging technologies and regulatory shifts impacting our 5-year roadmap
- Author thought leadership positioning Horizon as a future-shaping industry leader
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Policy, or related field
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist research
- Proven expertise in horizon scanning and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, biotech, quantum, climate tech)
- Exceptional storytelling skills to communicate complex future scenarios
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through strategic transformation
- Published thought leadership in future-focused publications or conferences
- Portfolio demonstrating successful 5+ year strategic forecasting implementation
