Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technology trends (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence) to develop strategic foresight reports for executive decision-making
- Architect 5-year innovation roadmaps aligning technological capabilities with market opportunities and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional workshops with R&D, product, and engineering teams to translate futuristic concepts into development pipelines
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry consortia to co-create next-generation solutions
- Present technology scenarios and strategic recommendations to C-suite and Board of Directors
- Monitor geopolitical/regulatory shifts impacting technology adoption and adapt strategies accordingly
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal foresight capability within the organization
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or futurist consulting with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record of translating complex technological trends into successful business strategies
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (e.g., quantum AI, neurotech, climate tech)
- Exceptional executive communication skills with ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Advanced degree in Technology Management, Systems Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Published thought leadership in futurism, tech strategy, or innovation journals
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through technology transformation initiatives
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (scenario planning, horizon scanning, Delphi techniques)
