As the 2026 Initiative Project Manager, you'll spearhead the end-to-end execution of projects targeting carbon-neutral communities by 2026. Collaborate with Fortune 500 partners, government agencies, and research institutions to deploy smart city solutions, renewable energy systems, and circular economy models. Your expertise will directly influence policy frameworks and accelerate the global sustainability agenda.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning and execution of 2026 Initiative milestones across 15+ concurrent projects
- Manage $50M+ budgets, vendor relationships, and stakeholder communications
- Coordinate 50+ cross-functional teams across engineering, policy, and sustainability domains
- Develop and implement KPI dashboards tracking carbon reduction and ESG compliance
- Drive innovation in green technology adoption through pilot programs and scale-up strategies
- Present quarterly progress to C-suite executives and external investors
- Ensure adherence to ISO 14001 and LEED Platinum standards across all deliverables
Qualifications
- 10+ years in project management with 5+ years in sustainability or smart city initiatives
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification required; LEED AP strongly preferred
- Proven track record delivering complex programs with $20M+ budgets
- Expertise in carbon accounting frameworks and ESG reporting standards
- Experience managing geographically dispersed teams using Jira, Asana, and SAP
- Advanced degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or Business Administration
- Deep understanding of municipal infrastructure modernization challenges
- Exceptional negotiation skills with public-private partnership experience
