Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year innovation roadmaps for quantum-secure systems and autonomous infrastructure
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams of engineers, designers, and futurists through agile development cycles
- Identify emerging technology trends (neuromorphic computing, synthetic biology, etc.) for strategic investment
- Secure partnerships with academic institutions and government agencies for R&D collaboration
- Present innovation frameworks to C-suite stakeholders and board members
- Manage $5M+ annual innovation budget with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Champion ethical AI deployment and sustainable technology principles
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech innovation or R&D leadership, with 5+ years in future-focused domains
- Proven track record of launching commercialized future technologies (quantum, AI, biotech)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Expertise in scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Strong understanding of global regulatory landscapes for emerging technologies
- Certification in agile/lean innovation frameworks (e.g., Scaled Agile)
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants and public funding
- Portfolio of at least 3 scalable innovation projects with measurable impact
