Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026 innovation roadmaps with 18-month impact horizons
- Secure and manage $5M+ in R&D funding from federal/state innovation grants
- Lead cross-functional teams of 15+ engineers and futurists
- Establish strategic partnerships with NASA, DARPA, and Fortune 500 innovation labs
- Author quarterly 'State of 2026' trend reports for C-suite stakeholders
- Champion ethical AI frameworks and sustainable design principles
- Drive patent development for 2026-ready technologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation leadership with 3+ in emerging tech
- Proven track record of securing $3M+ in government/private funding
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or climate tech
- Published thought leadership on 2025-2030 technological convergence
- Experience scaling R&D teams from 5 to 50+ professionals
- PhD or equivalent in Futures Studies, Engineering, or Computer Science
- Security clearance eligibility preferred
