Responsibilities
- Lead strategic R&D initiatives for 2026 product roadmap, identifying emerging tech trends and market opportunities
- Drive end-to-end innovation projects from ideation to prototype validation using agile methodologies
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and business teams to align innovation with company objectives
- Secure and manage partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders for cutting-edge research
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive innovation pipeline with measurable KPIs
- Present breakthrough concepts to C-suite executives and secure executive buy-in
- Mentor junior innovators and foster a culture of experimentation and calculated risk-taking
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech innovation, product development, or R&D leadership roles
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products or technologies
- Expertise in emerging fields: AI/ML, quantum computing, biotech, or sustainable tech
- Strong strategic planning skills with ability to forecast tech trends 3-5 years ahead
- Experience securing multi-million dollar innovation budgets and resources
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Exceptional communication skills for executive presentations and stakeholder management
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successfully scaled innovation projects
