Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives for 2026-era technologies including quantum computing applications and AI ethics frameworks
- Analyze emerging tech trends (Web4, biotech integration, sustainable AI) to identify market opportunities
- Develop strategic roadmaps for product innovation aligned with 5-year industry projections
- Present findings to C-suite executives and external stakeholders through compelling data narratives
- Mentor a team of 8+ engineers and designers in rapid prototyping and agile methodologies
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budget through persuasive business case development
- Partner with MIT and Stanford on cutting-edge research initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech innovation with 5+ years in leadership roles
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, advanced AI, or neurotech
- Proven track record of launching products with $10M+ ARR
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Strong proficiency in scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (preferred)
- Experience securing venture capital for speculative R&D projects
- Published thought leadership in IEEE or Harvard Business Review
