Responsibilities
- Architect the 2026-2030 technology roadmap, identifying disruptive trends in quantum computing, bio-integrated AI, and climate tech
- Lead cross-functional pods of engineers, designers, and futurists to prototype and validate breakthrough concepts
- Secure and manage strategic partnerships with academic institutions and industry disruptors
- Present innovation frameworks to C-suite and board, securing $50M+ annual R&D allocations
- Establish KPIs for measuring technological ROI and market disruption potential
- Curate the annual 'FutureVision Summit' showcasing 2026-ready innovations
- Develop patent portfolios for core breakthrough technologies (target: 15+ patents/year)
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy or innovation leadership with 5+ years in executive roles
- Proven track record of launching market-defining products with $100M+ revenue impact
- Expertise in emerging tech convergence: AI, biotech, quantum computing, and sustainable systems
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Innovation Management (PhD preferred)
- Published thought leadership in top-tier journals (Nature, MIT Tech Review, etc.)
- Experience securing $50M+ in R&D funding from VC, corporate, or government sources
- Deep network within Silicon Valley, Austin tech ecosystem, and global innovation hubs
