Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing 2026-adjacent technology roadmaps
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Design and execute proof-of-concept projects in AI, biotech, or climate tech domains
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Secure and manage R&D budgets exceeding $2M annually
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Document intellectual property through patents and whitepapers
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Futurism (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in technology R&D with 3+ years in strategic planning
- Proven track record launching products with 2020-2025 impact metrics
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AR/VR, synthetic biology)
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management
- Experience securing government SBIR/STTR grants or corporate venture funding
- Portfolio demonstrating 2026-relevant innovations (patents, publications, prototypes)
