In this pivotal position, you'll lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers to architect quantum systems capable of solving previously impossible computational challenges. You'll work in our state-of-the-art San Francisco lab with access to cutting-edge quantum processors and collaborate with global research institutions to accelerate quantum adoption.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum computing architectures with 100+ qubit capacity by 2026
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead integration of quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Partner with industry leaders to define quantum application roadmaps
- Research and develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Oversee quantum security protocols for next-gen communication networks
- Mentor junior researchers and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in quantum hardware/software development
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance techniques
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in superconducting qubit systems or photonic quantum computing
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects
- Published research in quantum computing or related fields
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
