We're seeking a visionary Quantum Computing Architect to design next-generation quantum systems that will redefine computational boundaries. This role offers the opportunity to work with Nobel laureates and industry disruptors in our state-of-the-art downtown San Francisco facility. You'll lead the development of fault-tolerant quantum processors and hybrid quantum-classical algorithms that will power breakthroughs in materials science, cryptography, and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum processor architectures with 10,000+ qubit capacity
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Create hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead quantum software integration with classical cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate with hardware teams to define quantum control system specifications
- Present quantum computing roadmaps to C-suite executives and government agencies
- File patents for novel quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum algorithm development or quantum hardware design
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum systems
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary technical teams
- Demonstrated ability to secure government or corporate research funding
