As part of our elite Future Technologies Division, you'll collaborate with MIT-affiliated teams to develop fault-tolerant quantum algorithms and hybrid quantum-classical architectures. Our San Francisco hub features a 10,000 sq ft quantum lab with cryogenic processors and photon-based entanglement generators.
Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for commercial deployment
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead implementation of quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit connectivity and error correction
- Establish quantum computing benchmarks and performance metrics
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum algorithms
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years developing quantum algorithms or quantum error correction systems
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Experience with quantum hardware integration (superconducting, ion trap, photonic)
- Deep understanding of quantum complexity theory
- Strong background in high-performance computing architectures
