Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging domains including quantum AI, neural interfaces, and climate-positive tech
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives bridging hardware/software innovation
- Conduct horizon scanning and competitive analysis for next-gen technologies
- Present strategic forecasts to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Drive patent development and intellectual property strategy
- Mentor junior researchers in emerging technology methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 7+ years industry experience
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, synthetic biology, advanced AI, etc.)
- Proven track record of publishing research in top-tier journals/conferences
- Experience with technology forecasting methodologies and scenario planning
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts
- Strong background in ethical tech frameworks and responsible innovation
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding or partnerships
