This role requires strategic foresight combined with hands-on technical expertise to translate future possibilities into actionable business strategies.

Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum computing, neurotech, Web4) and develop 5-year strategic roadmaps
- Lead innovation workshops with Fortune 500 partners to co-create 2026-ready solutions
- Author quarterly futures reports for executive board and investor relations
- Manage a $5M innovation portfolio with ROI-focused KPIs
- Represent Horizon Labs at Davos, CES, and MIT Technology Review Summits
- Build and lead a specialized futurist research team of 8-12 experts
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with Fortune 500 or Big Tech
- Proven track record of launching future-facing products (3+ examples)
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science/Futurology with published research
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech verticals (AI ethics, biotech convergence, etc.)
- Exceptional data storytelling skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Fluency in futures forecasting methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed tech journals
