Responsibilities
- Architect technology roadmaps targeting 2026+ innovation horizons across AI, quantum computing, and biotechnology
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in developing next-generation prototypes and proof-of-concepts
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies through market analysis and academic partnerships
- Present strategic technology visions to C-suite executives and board members
- Secure and manage $5M+ innovation budgets for experimental projects
- Foster strategic alliances with MIT, Stanford, and NASA research initiatives
- Develop patent portfolios protecting breakthrough intellectual property
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Physics with 10+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on emerging technologies
- Proven track record of launching commercialized AI or quantum products
- Expertise in systems thinking and complex technology ecosystems
- Exceptional strategic planning and scenario modeling capabilities
- Experience securing federal innovation grants (DARPA, NSF)
- Fluency in at least one programming language (Python, Rust, or C++)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ technology commercialization successes
