Responsibilities
- Architect strategic roadmaps for 2026+ technology adoption across quantum computing, neural interfaces, and decentralized systems
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives bridging academic research and commercial deployment
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with transformative potential
- Develop patent portfolios for breakthrough innovations in human-computer interaction
- Present future-vision briefings to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Mentor junior researchers in speculative design methodologies and prototyping
- Establish industry partnerships for 2026 technology standards development
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurology with 5+ years applied research experience
- Published work in IEEE/ACM journals on emerging technologies (2019-2024)
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, neuromorphic computing, or synthetic biology
- Portfolio demonstrating commercialized technology with global impact
- Proficiency in futures forecasting methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning)
- Security clearance for classified research projects (preferred)
- Fluency in Python, Rust, and emerging AI frameworks
