Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies with disruptive potential by 2026
- Develop and maintain a strategic technology roadmap integrating AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype next-gen solutions targeting 2026 market demands
- Present foresight insights to executive stakeholders and cross-functional product councils
- Establish industry partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Author annual Technology Futures Report for board-level decision support
- Mentor a team of futurist analysts to build organizational foresight capabilities
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or innovation leadership with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, AR/VR)
- Advanced degree in Technology Forecasting, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Certification in Futures Studies or Technology Impact Assessment preferred
- Deep expertise in exponential technology trends and S-curves adoption models
- Exceptional data storytelling skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Published thought leadership in technology foresight (white papers, patents, or industry journals)
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through complex technological transitions
