Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ethical AI governance frameworks for autonomous systems and machine learning pipelines
- Conduct bias audits and impact assessments for high-stakes AI applications in healthcare, finance, and public services
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed ethical safeguards into AI development lifecycles
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions to align technical teams with regulatory requirements (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF)
- Produce policy recommendations for emerging AI regulations and industry standards
- Train cross-functional teams on responsible AI deployment practices
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Ethics, Public Policy, or related field (Master's or PhD preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in AI ethics, governance, or responsible tech implementation
- Deep understanding of global AI regulatory landscapes (EU AI Act, NIST frameworks, etc.)
- Proficiency with bias detection tools and fairness metrics (e.g., IBM AI Fairness 360, Google What-If Tool)
- Strong ability to translate technical concepts into actionable policy recommendations
- Experience working with agile development teams and DevOps practices
- Certification in AI ethics or governance (e.g., IEEE, Partnership on AI) highly desirable
