Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical audit frameworks for autonomous decision systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in bias detection and algorithmic fairness initiatives
- Develop transparency protocols for AI deployed in regulated industries
- Author white papers and influence policy discussions on AI governance
- Establish real-time monitoring systems for ethical compliance in production AI
- Mentor researchers on responsible AI methodologies and human-centered design
- Collaborate with legal teams to ensure alignment with emerging regulations
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Computer Science, Philosophy, or related field with 5+ years AI ethics experience
- Proven track record publishing in AI ethics journals (e.g., ACM FAccT, NeurIPS Ethics)
- Expertise in bias mitigation techniques for deep learning systems
- Strong familiarity with global AI regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, NIST RMF)
- Experience with participatory design methodologies for stakeholder engagement
- Proficiency in Python for ethical auditing tools development
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex ethical concepts into technical requirements
