Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical frameworks for autonomous decision-making systems
- Lead bias audits and fairness assessments for AI models deployed in critical infrastructure
- Develop explainability protocols for complex neural networks and quantum AI systems
- Collaborate with product teams to embed ethics-by-design principles in AI development lifecycles
- Author white papers and policy recommendations for government and industry stakeholders
- Mentor junior researchers in ethical AI methodologies and responsible innovation practices
- Organize quarterly ethics symposia with industry leaders and academic partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Philosophy, Ethics, or related field with 5+ years AI research experience
- Expertise in algorithmic fairness, explainable AI (XAI), and bias mitigation techniques
- Published work on AI governance, policy development, or societal impact assessment
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and ethical auditing tools
- Deep understanding of emerging AI technologies including quantum computing and neuromorphic systems
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in tech, policy, and academia
- Strong track record of presenting research at top-tier conferences (NeurIPS, FAccT, etc.)
