Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ethical frameworks for AI system validation and bias detection
- Conduct multidisciplinary research on AI governance and regulatory compliance
- Lead stakeholder workshops to align technical teams with ethical guidelines
- Author whitepapers and contribute to industry standards bodies
- Design audit protocols for high-stakes AI deployment scenarios
- Collaborate with product teams to embed ethical considerations throughout development lifecycles
- Mentor junior researchers in emerging ethical AI methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Philosophy, Ethics, or related field with 5+ years of applied AI ethics experience
- Published research in top-tier AI ethics or machine learning conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, etc.)
- Expertise in fairness metrics, explainable AI (XAI), and adversarial robustness techniques
- Experience with regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF)
- Proficiency in Python, R, or similar for ethical AI tool development
- Strong background in philosophy of technology or moral philosophy
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex ethical concepts into actionable engineering guidelines
