Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics governance frameworks for emerging technologies
- Conduct risk assessments for AI systems across bias mitigation, privacy, and accountability domains
- Partner with engineering teams to embed ethical safeguards into product development lifecycles
- Lead stakeholder workshops to align diverse perspectives on AI ethics principles
- Monitor evolving regulatory landscapes (e.g., EU AI Act, state-level legislation) and adapt compliance strategies
- Author thought leadership content on ethical AI trends and best practices
- Manage cross-functional ethics task force with legal, data science, and product stakeholders
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in AI ethics, responsible AI, or tech policy roles
- Expertise in bias mitigation techniques for machine learning systems
- Proven experience developing organizational ethics policies and compliance frameworks
- Deep understanding of global AI regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Published work on AI ethics or demonstrated thought leadership in the field
- Proficiency in ethics assessment tools (e.g., IBM AI Fairness 360, Google What-If Tool)
