Responsibilities
- Design and execute a 2026 quantum-AI strategy aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead R&D initiatives in quantum machine learning and hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Collaborate with quantum hardware teams to optimize algorithm performance on emerging platforms
- Develop frameworks for ethical AI deployment and quantum cybersecurity protocols
- Present strategic vision to C-suite and external stakeholders at industry conferences
- Manage $5M+ innovation budget for quantum-AI pilot projects
- Mentor a team of 12+ researchers and engineers in advanced quantum computing techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or related field with 8+ years in quantum/AI research
- Proven experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq) and AI model optimization
- Published research in quantum machine learning or top-tier AI conferences (NeurIPS, ICML)
- Track record of leading cross-functional teams through technology commercialization
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and fault-tolerant quantum computing roadmaps
- Certification in quantum computing (IBM Qiskit, Google Quantum AI) or equivalent
- Experience securing federal grants for quantum/AI initiatives ($2M+ projects)
