Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Journeyman Electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings to understand project requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA safety standards.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from delivery trucks.
- Learn to identify and troubleshoot common electrical faults under supervision.
- Assist in the preparation of job sites, including setting up temporary power and lighting.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Physical stamina to stand, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions for extended periods.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions) are essential for electrical calculations.
- Willingness to obtain a New York State Electrician License through our sponsored apprenticeship program.
- Strong desire to learn and a commitment to safety protocols.
