Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes.
- Organize and maintain job sites, including hauling materials, cleaning up debris, and securing tools.
- Test electrical systems and continuity to ensure proper operation and safety.
- Document work performed and report any safety hazards or equipment issues to the foreman immediately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Basic understanding of math (geometry and algebra) is a plus.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to obtain a State of California Journeyman License within 5 years.
