Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems.
- Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for daily tasks to ensure workflow efficiency.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams under supervision.
- Perform basic electrical testing using multimeters, voltage detectors, and other diagnostic tools.
- Follow all local, state, and federal electrical codes (NEC) and company safety protocols strictly.
- Handle drilling, cutting, and mounting of conduit and wiring securely and neatly.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding project status and requirements.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; trade school certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and working in various environments, including attics and crawl spaces.
- Basic understanding of mathematics is preferred for electrical calculations.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are required.
- Willingness to obtain required journeyman licensing within the certification period.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols.
