Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman plumbers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial plumbing systems.
- Learn to interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project specifications.
- Perform basic pipe fitting, soldering, and welding under supervision.
- Ensure all work areas are cleaned and maintained according to safety and sanitation standards.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot plumbing issues.
- Familiarize yourself with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Transport materials and tools to job sites as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in confined spaces or outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Valid California Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings for emergency calls.
- No prior experience is necessary, but a strong work ethic and mechanical aptitude are essential.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating materials.
