Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman plumbers and pipefitters with installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial plumbing systems.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings to understand project specifications.
- Operate hand and power tools, including pipe wrenches, soldering torches, and drain snakes, under supervision.
- Prepare job sites by gathering materials, tools, and equipment needed for specific tasks.
- Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all OSHA safety regulations and company standards.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain job progress and address inquiries.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required; technical trade school experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Must be physically capable of lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for travel to job sites.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions precisely.
- Basic math skills are essential for measuring and cutting pipes accurately.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
