Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman plumbers with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial plumbing systems.
- Perform basic pipefitting, including cutting, threading, and bending copper and PVC pipes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and layout plans to determine the best course of action for installations.
- Ensure all job sites are clean, organized, and adhere to strict safety standards and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain work being done and answer questions.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required for daily operations.
- Learn and utilize a wide variety of hand and power tools correctly and safely.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and working in tight spaces or outdoors.
- Basic math skills are necessary for measuring and calculating material needs.
- A valid North Carolina Journeyman or Apprentice license (if already held).
- A strong willingness to learn and a positive attitude towards mentorship.
