Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Plumbers: Support senior team members with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Learn Tool Operation: Master the use of various plumbing tools, including pipe wrenches, augers, and pressure testing equipment, under supervision.
- Perform Basic Repairs: Help with unclogging drains, fixing leaks, and replacing fixtures such as faucets and toilets as training progresses.
- Adhere to Safety Protocols: Maintain a safe work environment by following OSHA guidelines and company safety standards at all times.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers professionally, answer basic questions, and ensure job sites are left clean and tidy.
- Inventory Management: Assist in organizing and maintaining the truck inventory, ensuring all necessary materials are available for daily tasks.
- Route Navigation: Navigate efficiently to job sites within the Philadelphia area using provided GPS and mapping tools.
Qualifications
- No Experience Required: A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but prior trade experience is not mandatory.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with measurements, fractions, and basic arithmetic for reading blueprints and measuring pipes.
