Job Overview:
As an Apprentice Plumber, you will work closely with our experienced Journeyman Plumbers to learn the ins and outs of residential and commercial plumbing. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and a strong work ethic. You will learn to troubleshoot, repair, and install various plumbing systems while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
Responsibilities
- Assist Journeymen: Support senior plumbers with installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks on residential and commercial sites.
- Tool Maintenance: Keep tools clean, organized, and in good working condition; learn proper usage of all plumbing equipment.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by laying out materials, clearing debris, and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Basic Installation: Learn to measure, cut, and thread pipes under supervision.
- Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with clients, answer basic questions, and maintain a tidy workspace.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety standards and company protocols at all times.
- Material Management: Help track inventory and order necessary supplies as needed.
Qualifications
- No Experience Required: We are willing to train the right candidate from scratch.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), work in tight spaces, and stand for long periods.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Math Skills: Basic understanding of measurements and geometry is a plus.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and able to pass a background check and drug screen.
