Responsibilities
- Install and terminate electrical conduit, wiring, and cable systems according to the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of existing electrical infrastructure in commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan installations.
- Ensure all work meets local, state, and federal safety codes and OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
- Conduct site inspections to verify work quality and compliance.
- Train and mentor apprentice electricians when required.
Qualifications
- Certified Journeyman Electrician License (valid in Illinois or North Carolina).
- Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in commercial electrical installation.
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Proficiency with power tools, test meters, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
