Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by cleaning debris, setting up barriers, and ensuring the area is safe for crews.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment with precision.
- Equipment Support: Assist in the operation of heavy machinery and tools under the supervision of certified operators.
- Trade Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, welders) by performing manual labor tasks such as digging, holding materials, or cleaning work areas.
- Quality Control: Help ensure all work meets Apex’s high standards of quality and adheres to blueprints.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols at all times.
- Site Maintenance: Keep tools and work areas organized and clean to prevent accidents.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction or general labor is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing on uneven terrain.
- License: Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
- Communication: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Teamwork: Must be a collaborative team player willing to work in various weather conditions.
- Tools: Basic familiarity with hand tools (hammers, drills, levels) is a plus.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
