Responsibilities
- Perform heavy lifting, digging, and material handling on active construction sites
- Assist skilled trades with equipment operation (excavators, forklifts, power tools)
- Maintain clean, organized job sites with proper safety protocols
- Read blueprints and follow site supervisor instructions precisely
- Prepare surfaces for concrete pouring, framing, and finishing work
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and report hazards immediately
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily project milestones
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of hands-on construction or labor experience
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic tool proficiency (hammers, saws, levels, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and ability to take direction
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Flexible availability for 10-12 hour shifts including weekends
