Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, demolition, material handling, and site preparation
- Operate hand tools and light equipment (saws, drills, jackhammers) safely and efficiently
- Assist skilled tradespeople with carpentry, masonry, and concrete work
- Maintain clean and organized job sites, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards
- Read and interpret blueprints to execute construction tasks accurately
- Load/unload materials and transport equipment as needed
- Participate in daily safety briefings and contribute to accident prevention
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of construction or heavy labor experience
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with reliable transportation
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
