Responsibilities
- Assist master plumbers with installations, repairs, and maintenance of plumbing systems
- Learn to read blueprints and technical specifications
- Perform basic pipe fitting, fixture assembly, and valve adjustments
- Ensure compliance with DC plumbing codes and safety regulations
- Conduct system diagnostics and troubleshooting under supervision
- Maintain clean work sites and proper tool inventory
- Participate in ongoing skills training programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces
- Willingness to complete state-mandated apprenticeship program
- Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude
- Reliable transportation to job sites across DC metro
- Pass background check and drug screening
