Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate hand/power tools and heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other trades with project-specific tasks
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and site regulations
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment as needed
- Perform demolition and debris removal operations
- Inspect and maintain tools/equipment for optimal performance
- Document daily progress and report maintenance issues promptly
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial construction experience
- OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with basic hand/power tools (saws, drills, levels)
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and construction terminology
- Successful completion of pre-employment background/drug screening
- Strong teamwork ethic and problem-solving abilities
