Responsibilities
- Execute physically demanding tasks including excavation, material handling, and site preparation
- Operate heavy machinery safely (e.g., jackhammers, saws, drills) with proper certification
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and site-specific regulations
- Assist skilled tradespeople with framing, concrete pouring, and finishing work
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and proper waste disposal procedures
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure precise execution of construction plans
- Collaborate effectively with diverse teams to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial construction experience
- OSHA 10/30 certification required
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform strenuous physical work in extreme weather
- Basic knowledge of power tools and construction equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends when required
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
