Responsibilities
- Execute construction tasks including excavation, concrete pouring, and material handling
- Operate heavy machinery (forklifts, jackhammers, power tools) with precision
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and site cleanliness
- Read blueprints and technical schematics for accurate project execution
- Collaborate with skilled trades professionals (carpenters, electricians, plumbers)
- Perform daily equipment inspections and preventive maintenance
- Assist in project documentation and progress reporting
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years commercial construction experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and construction machinery
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Basic math abilities for measurements and material calculations
- Drug-free workplace compliance required
