Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and organizing materials
- Assist carpenters and masons with measuring, cutting, and installing building materials
- Operate hand/power tools safely and maintain equipment cleanliness
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and report potential hazards immediately
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment using proper techniques
- Assist in concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks
- Complete daily project documentation and time tracking
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites across San Diego
- Willingness to submit to background check and drug screening
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided)
- Team player with strong attention to safety details
