Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, lifting, loading/unloading materials, and operating hand tools
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople on construction sites
- Maintain clean, safe work areas by removing debris and following OSHA standards
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project requirements
- Operate light machinery such as jackhammers, saws, and concrete mixers
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and report hazards immediately
- Complete daily progress reports and maintain equipment
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction labor experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with daily attendance
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Ability to read tape measures and basic blueprints
