Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and directing traffic
- Load/unload materials and operate hand/power tools (hammers, saws, drills, etc.)
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with project tasks
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas
- Read blueprints and execute verbal instructions accurately
- Perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions
- Complete daily timecards and report equipment malfunctions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials handling
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with zero tolerance for lateness
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided if needed)
- Experience in concrete, demolition, or framing a plus
