Responsibilities
- Execute foundational construction tasks including excavation, grading, and site preparation
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers) with precision and safety protocols
- Assist carpenters and masons with material handling and structural assembly
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and project specifications
- Perform concrete work including pouring, finishing, and form installation
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain project timelines
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years verified construction experience in commercial/residential projects
- OSHA 30-Hour certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Valid Florida driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in extreme conditions
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and heavy equipment operation
- Strong attention to detail and blueprint interpretation skills
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Local Jacksonville residency preferred
