Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up barricades, and organizing materials
- Load/unload heavy equipment and materials using forklifts, dollies, and manual labor
- Assist skilled tradespeople with concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks
- Operate hand/power tools safely (saws, drills, jackhammers) under supervision
- Maintain clean work areas and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Read blueprints and follow verbal instructions from site supervisors
- Perform general site cleanup and waste disposal as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months construction or heavy labor experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform strenuous physical tasks
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Houston
- Basic math skills for material measurements and inventory
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, humidity)
