Responsibilities
- Perform general construction tasks including material handling, site preparation, and equipment operation
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians) with project execution
- Operate hand/power tools and construction machinery safely
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and project specifications
- Load/unload materials and transport supplies to designated work zones
- Participate in daily team briefings and progress meetings
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in physically demanding conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Portland metro area
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Must be available for early morning start times (5:30 AM)
