Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers, forklifts) with precision and safety
- Perform physical labor including digging, lifting materials (up to 50 lbs), and operating power tools
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Collaborate with skilled trades (electricians, plumbers, carpenters) on complex projects
- Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Assist in concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Physical stamina to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, humidity, rain)
- Basic math skills for material measurements and calculations
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- 1+ years construction experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights/weekends for project deadlines
