Responsibilities
- Assist in site preparation including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate hand/power tools and light equipment (saws, drills, compactors)
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate project execution
- Maintain clean and organized job sites following OSHA safety standards
- Collaborate with skilled tradespeople to support complex construction phases
- Perform daily equipment maintenance and safety inspections
- Participate in hazardous material handling and disposal protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial construction experience
- Valid Tennessee driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic understanding of construction math and measurements
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety compliance
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
