Responsibilities
- Execute construction tasks including excavation, concrete pouring, framing, and finishing work
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers, forklifts) with proper certifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Assist in material handling, inventory management, and site preparation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electricians, plumbers, and supervisors
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites throughout all project phases
- Participate in daily briefings and progress reporting
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on construction labor experience
- Valid OSHA 10/30 certification and/or relevant trade certifications
- Ability to operate heavy machinery with proper licensing
- Strong understanding of construction materials and methods
- Physical stamina to perform strenuous tasks in varying weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites across San Diego County
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed
